Project to create a relaunch concept for Sleazenation magazine. New concept uses tactile graphics to communicate the physicality of the original publication. Due to its new existence in the digital realm, it will satirize meme and click-bait culture.

Shifting the magazine from print to online, it’s essential to understand the nature of online journalism; littered with click-bait and fake news. Sleaze will satirize this, thus being relevant to today’s digitally weaned audience, whilst maintaining the tone that defined the old publication.
The aesthetic is inspired by Sleazenation’s origin as a print magazine, as well as punk zine style it sported. Sleaze has a fluid and interconnected feed. Its visually rich and textured aesthetic will make the content highly engaging, as each feature is curated in an artistic way. This style can be applied across all chosen platforms, building synergy between each component and resulting in a brand image.

IMMERSIVE CONCEPT
The purpose of the online experience is to allow the audience to immerse themselves in a world which captures the ethos of Sleaze. They’re able to explore the city, interacting with NPC’s that respond with satirical remarks on contemporary topics. As well as communicating Sleaze’s ide-ology, the experience will attract the audience to the website

In the intangible digital world, real life ex-periences are gaining momentum as the audience searches for something memorable. Sleaze’s pop-up music events will allow its readers to be immersed in the magazine’s ethos. Inspired by past club culture, Sleaze will partner with Spotify to create compilations of set recordings from each event. Existing Sleaze followers can reminisce about past events whilst exposing the magazine to new potential followers.
